"I'm not sure.. I wonder if she's too shy to ask another cat to be her apprentice." Sharkhail pondered aloud. He was found of the medicinecat, she had a good head on her. He then let out a hearty chuckle. "Relax friend, no one is here for your head! We get what you meant." He said before giving Wisteria a nudge.

- - - Deerspark sat. Y'know, that was relatively normal, a rarity for him.
His thoughts were rather quiet that evening, likely to allow swollen mews to enter tall ears. His torn ear twitched in irritation. He found that his scars always itched in extreme temperatures, beit hot or cold, there was always a dull ache and a need to pick at the scars on his shoulder, the torn flesh at his neck.
He wasn't sure why though... Deerspark was no medic, but he knew that any kind of interference with his scabbed over skin would only cause them to reopen and him more pain. And yet, the suggestion lingered, a dull unbreakable hum before his brain focused on something else.
Sage eyes kept to the ground, tossing a rock between his paws like a kit to a moss ball. Suddenly, casually, he felt soft fur tickle at his side. Deerspark immediately tensed, lifting up his head slowly with eyes as wide as they sky that held the stars of Silverpelt.
Oh. Wisteriawren. The warrior returned her smile with a crooked grin that didn't exactly meet his eyes, but he was grateful for the company regardless.
That was twice in a row... Uh. Hm. She couldn't actually enjoy his company, right? He barely talked. And when he did his speak was broken and bumbling. The warrior shuffled his paws awkwardly, watching as conversation began. He wasn't sure how to fit himself into a social situation. Round hole, cube object. No matter how hard he shoved and pulled his brain could never be wired to act naturally in a new environment were interaction was needed.
He nearly missed what the queen was even talking about, along with another tom (whom Deerspark hastily recognized as Sharkhail) laughing and joking in response. A small chuckle plumed from his pink nose, light and airy. He figured he was supposed to laugh, even if he wasn't quite sure what was funny. Maybe that was what's wrong with him... He couldn't pick up a joke. Perhaps his mind was too heavy to notice.
"It's uh..." Deerspark began, tensing his shoulders. "Soon... Right?" Deerspark wasn't in a rush for an established apprentice, but having one wouldn't hurt. Suddenly, green locked onto the hues of Sharkhail. He blinked, addressing the tom with a nervous stare. "... Deerspark." He mewed. "Nice to. To hm. Uh. Meet... You."

Starrypaw was looking for her mentor. She had been loooking for him for a couple of minutes now when she noticed Wisteriawren talking with other two cats she didn't really recognize. Was she the only one who didn't remember all of her clanmates' names? She hoped so.
She placed herself secretly behind the three cats, telling herself that she was just waiting for Rowanmane and maybe he would appear just beside his mate. She leaned closer, turning her ear forward to catch some words of what they were all chatting about.
..Berryshine might have picked an apprentice? Not that... she needs one. Oh, they were talking about Berryshine! But the poor soul was still mourning her previous apprentice... and she wasn't nowhere to be found. No, I doubt that's why Owlstar called us out.

RowanMane stepped from his den at the leaders call, the lionhearts blue gaze carefully scanning the clearing before he saw what decided where he was to go. His apprentice…as well as his mate, both the same way. The large gray tabby padded over carefully. “StarryPaw- ‘Ello! How’re ya kiddo?” he asked kindly.

She/Her | Purrk(s): Just A Scratch
Sharkhail's reassurance has her smiling sheepishly at the tom. She was just that transparent, it seemed. She didn't mind it, though. Honesty was a virtue, and what would she have to hide, anyway? The hypocrisy of such a thought only hits her after a few seconds. She had one very big secret - one that she'd tried and tried again to tell her leaders, but each of them had passed right as she'd mustered up the courage, too. Some tiny part of her shied away from trying again with Owlstar, a silly notion to think that her approaching a leader caused their demise. But she had to admit to her lack of claws soon. One day. She'd do it, she'd tell her leader.
...Once Frigidkit, Pikekit, and Lotuskit were apprenticed. She was a coward in that corner, selfishly wanting to see her kits become an established part of the Clan before risking herself being turned out. Her gaze flicks briefly towards Deerspark, but instead falls over his shoulder to one of her sons in the crowd. Pikekit. As much as she instantly craved to stand up and hurry over to him... he deserved to gain some independence. Make friends outside the nursery. She'd settle for watching him from afar.
A movement at the corner of her eyes has her noticing Starrypaw, her eyes instantly softening at the sight of the apprentice, her long tail lifting to wave. And then her eyes are brightening further at the sight of the love of her life, smile turning into a grin so wide the corners of her eyes crinkle. He was right there, yet she missed him somehow. Had been missing him. And, well, Sharkhail had offered to kitsit their little darlings one of these days. Maybe she'd take him up on the offer sooner than she'd thought, just to steal her mate away for a while.
But... oh, she'd gotten distracted at the sight of her mate. Owlstar was announcing not a new apprentice for Berryshine, but... "Newcomers!" The soft, delighted gasp leaves her without warning, probably not at all suitable after the announcement of a death. Her face heats, ears pinning back slightly. "Em. I'm sorry." Still, she couldn't help her curiosity as she peeks over at - oh, Freezingfury rushing straight for one of them, calling her his mother.
Oh. She hadn't realized it was possible for her to melt with happiness all over again, but it happens. Families being reunited was the most wonderful thing ever. Though... a question lingers at the back of her mind. Why had the apprentice-aged newcomer been given the name Deceptionpaw?
