Blackjaw smiled, with a light purr of laughter. The tom looked at Mosstangle beside him and felt her shuffle closer to him. The tom looked down, feeling fuzzy and warm. The tom gazed at the queen, his eyes glimmering as he gazed at her. She wasn't looking back at him, but just looking at her, it made him excited and happy.

Mosstangle didn't quite notice Blackjaw looking at her. Instead, her ears perked as she looked up at Grimpeak. Dawnstar had made her call to kits and apprentices. She purred in delight. It was always good to see more added to shadowclan's ranks. She glanced at Blackjaw. "You think one of them will become your apprentice?" She asked. There were quite a few kits this moon. She thought back to the last meeting, whiskers almost twitching as she remembered Morningpaw's stance of absolutely being Mosstangle's only apprentice until he was given his warrior name.

Morningpaw laughed at the kit. He just got himself all muddy! "That's cool, I guess. And uh. I personally have never seen a worm that long.. must've been a rare find." The apprentice said, amber eyes flicking up to Dawnstar for a moment before flicking back down to Wildkit. He winced internally at the calico's muddy pose, and carefully suggested he stand up. "You'll be covered in... dirt, now, Wildkit."

Wildkit jumped back to his paws, looking down at the mud and dirt that covered his underbelly and legs. He shook out his fur and gave his chest a few licks. Eh, nothing that a little grooming won't fix... Though, he often had stuff stuck to his fur, so sometimes he wondered what the point of grooming was, anyway. "It's okay, I can clean it off." He told Morningpaw. Then his ears perked and he looked up at Dawnstar, mouth agape as she called so many kits! "Wow...!" He whispered. "Are they all becoming apprentices?"

She lazily itches her ear as she watches her clanmates scurry across the clearing and to the Grimpeak. The urge to bask in the sun was there, but she ignored the warmth and forced herself to sit straighter.

"Bonekit, Grubkit, Buzzardkit, Twilightkit, Littlekit, Nightkit, Ashkit, Flamekit, and Mushroomkit. Come sit below the Grimpeak." Dawnstar called for the kits once the clan gathered below her. Let's see if she collected all of them this time.

"Stempaw, Hollowpaw, and Lionpaw, sit behind them, your ceremonies are next." She meows while glancing at each apprentice as she speaks their names.

Yes! Yes! YES! Ashkit bounded forward as he heard his name, trying hard to stop the excited shaking of his limbs as he sat below Grimpeak. He had waited so long for this...! It was finally happening. Ashkit and his siblings would all become apprentices together!
