PLEASE PUT YOUR PATROLS INTO THE SYSTEM!! Putting them in myself is all well and good but typically each patrol leader will do it themselves, so I humbly request that be done for this round of patrols.

Stars, if the sunshine didn't feel good. Mistlewhisker's mood had been utterly abysmal as of late, though it was difficult to tell. At least, maybe it was. She wasn't entirely sure if cats had see her irritable stares, the tension in her shoulders whenever she walked from camp end to camp end. She was disappointed in herself for being at the whims of her emotions. She needed to get it together, and fast. What better way to do that than patrols! Her favorite part of being Deputy. That was sarcasm.

No she did not just explain sarcasm to herself.

"ShadowClan! I am sure many of you are eager to get out into the territory, so now you get to do it while working." The Deputy dug her claws into the bark of the Grimpeak, relishing the texture underneath.

"Hunting patrols first. I will remind you again--" the wry twist in her voice hinted that she wasn't very happy she had to, "--everyone in a hunting patrol MUST report back to me with your catches. I am tired of letting slackers report late. So, if you do not report with your patrol, I will count you as missing regardless if you come in later."

With that settled, she took a breath to bellow out her first group. "Darkwater Mire! Squirrelrise [ @versailles ], Mosstangle [ @namen_roodles ], Foxpaw [ @Fits ] and Scorpionpaw [ @SuspiciousMindz ]. Keep an eye out for the beaver spotted there last moon. It shouldn't be a problem, as long as none of you are stupid."

"Newtbelly [ @sleepyyjax ], take Sleepysunrise [ @ Estelle ], Rockjaw [ @korok ], and Quietmouth [ @Purely_K2 ] to the Dawning Woods."

"Owlthroat [ @Daragca ]." The Deputy scanned the clearing for the Enforcer, eye narrowing once she spotted him. No, she was not salty about her favorite Enforcer being booted simply so he could keep his position and Rookfire be elevated. That's ridiculous. "You will go to Evergreen Grotto. Take Hazycry [ @c1nder ], and Cricketpaw [ @Dolomedes ]."

And, speak of the devil. "Rookfire [ @alec ]. I am entrusting you with a patrol to the Mourning Ruins. You report anything of note, even a feather out of place. Understand?" As much as she disliked that Rookfire was reinstated this way, he was reliable. If she could trust anyone to finish this patrol swiftly and effectively, it would be him. StarClan pray he didn't disappoint her. "Take Wildstorm [ @Luna16 ], Shadowpaw [ @Fish ] and Mudslide [ @Marigoldwhisper ] with you." Three warriors should be enough in case of issue, and Shadowpaw wasn't exactly a new apprentice.

Now, for border patrols.

"Briarsplash [ @squidz ], Midnightclaw [ @Hex ], and Darkpaw [ @Rowan ], head to Saltmeadow Marsh."

"Tuftedtusk [ @Aroogi ], take Roachflare [ @alec ] to Whispering Wetlands."

And, for her final trick of the night: " Grottopaw [ @dino. ] and Houndpaw [ @wolfie ]. You will accompany me to Herondive Hollow."

Mistlewhisker leapt down from the Grimpeak, standing just underneath it so her sons could find her easily. It had been a while since she was out on a patrol, and she could use the walk. Besides, she wanted to ensure Grottopaw and Houndpaw saw the borders. She might have to take the entire litter on a group border patrol at some point.
