Doeflame
Doeflame had been sunning herself in the clearing, eyes half-lidded as she enjoyed the warm new-leaf sun on her pelt. It was still cold, but not nearly as cold as it had been, especially in the sun. She briefly thought about taking a nap there, but dismissed it. As sleepy as she was, this wasn't really the right place for it- the sun would probably move while she was sleeping and she'd invariably get in the way of someone passing through the clearing. Ugh.
Instead, Doeflame watched drowsily as Tuftedtusk made his way out of the warrior's den. Hmm, maybe she'd bother him. They hadn't talked in a while. But that plan was scrapped as her brother stopped at the base of the Grimpeak and spoke, his voice carrying across the clearing.
A partner fighting event? Doeflame listened, interest piqued. She wasn't exactly sure what the event was going to entail, but it sounded like she would get to spar at some point. It had been a while since she had sparred with anyone; she had been in some real battles over the past few seasons but no practice ones. So, trying to shake of her drowsiness, she pushed herself to her paws and made her way to the slowly gathering crowd around Tuftedtusk, giving her brother a wave of her tail and a grin. "Partner fighting, hey? Sounds cool." Her voice was still groggy, but at least she was full-on yawning or anything. Besides, by the time they got to sparring she'd be wide awake.
