Man. She sure was interacting with a whole lotta kits lately. It seemed like she couldn't be seen in public without some kid asking her for training or telling her hi. The tabby cat flicked her ear before blinking once, twice, three times. Who was this? Violetfreckle was quiet for a long moment while she racked her brain, olive eyes darting to the ground. Oh. Wait. Wait? This cat had something to do with the one who was yelling about some star cat a couple moons ago. (Man, had it really been that long?)

Nettlepaw. That was it. With Ash...paw. Whisper. Whisper? Nah, 'paw. "Nettlepaw," She returned the greeting, meeting the younger cat's eyes. She glanced up and around at the clearing again before returning her gaze to the apprentice. "I'm... fine." Short. Curt. To the point. "What do you want from me? Trainin'? 'Cause I'm on break." She punctuated the statement with a long yawn. Not that she was tired, just that she wanted to make a point.

Nettlepaw paused as Violetfreckle spoke, nodding along calmly. They didn’t really have much to say, but they were trying to be more sociable in these recent moons. It would be nice to have a few new friends, and they wanted to regain the trust of their clan after what Ashwhisper had done. It wasn’t much, but it was.. decent work? They had no clue at this point. Talking was hard.
Nettlepaw’s tail flicked softly as they spoke, “Er- well.. no, I’m.. alright for.. training. I did.. my assessment quite.. a few sunrises.. ago. I wanted to.. say hi.” they mewed.
“How are.. you?” the apprentice asked curiously, a slight nervous tinge to their neutral yet fragmented voice mimicking their own expression.
