Honestly Crowtooth was just really happy Rabbitpaw wasnt freaking out. His kid was (reasonably, after what happened to his mother and brother) a bit of a nut when it came to the cats he cared abouts health and safety so the deputy was kinda worried telling Rabbitpaw he DIED would send him into a tailspin. Crowtooth did not relish the idea of being cobweb wrapped for his own protection and shoved in the elders den.


So, going well so far, though he had no answers about the 'hows and whys' of all this and could only shrug at the questions.




He couldnt help but chuckle at how happy Rabbitpaw seemed, feeling a bit scummy he wasnt giving the whole story about Blazingstars dark forest doubts. Crowtooth would make his kids faith true by efforts though, he'd use the power for good so much even if it was born in darkness he'd purify it and make it a gift in the end. "I promise ya kiddo it sounds less cool then it was. Doubt I'dve be able ta kill Dawnstar at all wit'out Twilightstars an' others efforts ta weaken 'er first an' frankly I was bein' stupid. Pro tip, do not go chargin' powerful leaders stronger then ya 'cuz yer angry. Though I think Id do better in a rematch now...." NOPE HE WASNT GOING DOWN THAT RABBITHOLE! PEACE WITH SHADOWCLAN, PEACE. Even if he still wanted to kill her badly.


"Warms yer Pas silly dirty heart ya think he's cool despite all the dumb I do kiddo." The tom mused, leaning down to rasp a tongue over Rabbitpaws head.


"It is rather cool aint it. Honestly kid Im pretty sure I can do more but yer Pa aint the best at creative like stuff so Ive been stickin' to the push aspect so far. I was thinkin'.... If ya had any ideas of stuff I could try I'd love yer input?" It was a weird sort of bonding but could be fun.

Rabbitpaw returned to his father's side as prompted, and his ears flicked as Crowtooth cleaned his fur. It was scary to know that Crowtooth had died, but it was okay because he was back, and he was healthy now. Sure he got hurt, but everyone did, it's why Rabbitpaw and Lightningstorm were medicine cats. To heal the inevitable. "I'm sure you'd win..." Though to be fair he's hardly even seen Dawnstar in battle, the only time was when the clans drove out Riverclan and then he was far too busy with his own fights to be watching other ones. From Dawnstar's stature and scars though, it was clear that she was quite the fighter.

"You mean the world to me, really, no amount of dumb moments will change that, pa." Rabbitpaw didn't mind really. He considered all cats to have dumb moments because no one was perfect. Even cats like Dawnstar and Twilightstar have surely tripped over their own paws at some point, or fumbled up into their dens, or who even knows back when they were apprentices. Sometimes it seems the clans forget that, that even their worshipped dead were once just living cats like them. They were neglectful, sure, but the living can't expect them to be perfect beings when they are just spirits of life. "Ideas..."

The blonde quieted for a long time, eyes squirting ever so slightly in thought as Rabbitpaw tried to think of some unique applications of his father's abilities. "Well.. I guess, have you ever seen the strongest wind you can make? Like what's the heaviest thing you can push over?" That could be very good information for sure, especially if you wanted to apply it to something like a battle. Could Crowtooth push cats around with the wind? Oh! "Do you think you could mess with the twoleg's den building with it? Or would that be too risky? Do you have to be close to your target? Could you just imagine it elsewhere and it'll happen regardless of where you are?"
