Well no, this should be fun. Not. The brown tabby resisted the urge to roll his eyes, now was not the time to be disputing with clanmates.
“I like to give every patrolmate a chance to catch up.” He meowed with a friendly smile, though his voice was pointed. He was usually a lot more upbeat, but the tom was tired. Not sleeping well on his own was having that affect on him…his nest now felt too big for him. But that was neither here nor there. Acornfall shook himself of the grumpiness, he needed to focus!
“Now then!” He meowed in his mor usual boisterous cheer, flicking his tail for Flowerhawk to follow as he took lead of the patrol.
“To the creek!”
Upon their arrival to their destination, memories came flooding back to him. Acornfall couldn’t help but briefly face the direction of the sick camp, where so many good cats lost their lives. He took a moment to bow his head out of respect of their lives, before turning to face the territory. Oak leaves and yarrow. Yarrow was a tall plant with white flowers that bloomed in clusters. Oak leaves were easy enough.
“Don’t forget what we’re here for, oak leaves and yarrow.” He mewed, giving a friendly smile before turning. First things first, he was gonna find an oak tree. Thankfully they were plentiful, and he didn’t have to worry so much about his patrolmates since they were both warriors. It didn’t take long for Acornfall to locate an oak tree, and he searched the trunk for leaves that would still be usable. He found a couple that were shaken loose by wind or animals, were still fresh, and picked those up.
+2 oak leaves
Now for the yarrow.
