Yawn. Days like this, he didn’t feel much like talking to anyone. It was cold, the sky looked a little miserable, too. Still, he didn’t want to stay cooped up in his nest all day. He’d become sick of acting sick. So, what could he do? Clean the nursery, of course! He missed it, even if it had never been his nursery. Obviously he was far too old to play kits games now, as sad as that made them. Still, it wad nice to go in and feel the calm, happy atmosphere. And it was always nice to look after the clan’s young! He reckoned they’d have kits, when they got older. Any excuse to take time off from warrior business? Sure. But it wasn’t just that! It seemed so nice to nurture the clan’s young, especially those who need it. StarClan knows, they and Salamanderpaw probably could’ve done with an extra cat to dote on them when times got rough.

They wandered into the nursery, beginning to round up pieces of discarded, dried out moss. They supposed they’d throw it out the camp exit - sure they weren’t meant to leave camp without a warrior, but surely a couple pawsteps wouldn’t hurt? Or maybe they could reinforce anything that needs reinforcing ? Does moss even work for that?
