Wildkit was born in the Shadowclan nursery to Swanfeather who passed shortly after due to complications. Wildkit was the first and only kit to be born from her. He learned soon after that his father, Hollowpelt, had also passed before he was born. Orphaned in Shadowclan, Wildkit tried to do his best to not bother anyone else unless he absolutely needed something.
He met a few others during this time, such as a fellow kit named Thistlekit and an apprentice named Morningpaw. Morningpaw actually wound up teaching the young calico a thing or two about hunting during this time.
