Thankfully, his guessing skills had worked. That saved a lot of awkwardness. Ah, and Canopypaw was here now, too. He wasn't nearly as shy as Deerpaw - and he appreciated the short and to the point greeting. It almost reminded him of his own mannerisms, bar the smile. "Alright, let's head out." with these two, this would be a breeze.
The Dawning Woods - he'd always liked it here. Plenty of shade, plenty of places to hide - and seemingly, lots of herbs - though he didn't care much about that last bit. "Here we are. Don't stray far, and alert me if you smell, see or hear anything strange." He couldn't be too careful after ShadowClan's semi-recent predator problem. The two of them were young, and he figured if anything happened to them out here, he'd never be heard from again. Looking at them, Canopypaw appeared younger, Deerpaw a little older. The latter probably already knew this, but he figured he'd state it for the younger's sake. "Cobwebs are often found on trees or bushes, but they can appear anywhere. They're the things spiders leave behind. Moss, you'll find on the base of trees and rocks. It's the warm fluffy stuff we use in our nests. Borage..." He trailed off - he knew nothing of the herb. He couldn't risk looking inexperienced but - oh - how could he put this. "Just remember Sleepysunrise's description and keep an eye out."
Right, now this couldn't be too hard. He began to scour, and it wasn't long before he spied some cobwebs on a bush. Working as gently as he could, he peeled them off. Next was moss, which was never far. Infact, there was whole bunch of it at the base of the tree next to him - and, well, most of the trees. Now, borage. Purple ovals? Hm. There were a few more plants near that bush. He began to investigate, nosing through. No, not that, not that - what even is that? Until - aha! Purple ovals. He nipped off a stem, quite happy with his collection. If the apprentices were having trouble, he could show them to this bush.
