It’s clear that she really meant a lot to him, especially when it comes to giving creative names. “I also like that name. It sound’s sweet and crisp… Oh, and did you know…” She continued while she came over and helped her out with assembling the pebbles into a pile. “…That my dad is also called with “Shrike”? His name’s Shrikeslip. I think it’s also a cool name. Your parents are great at giving names.”

Her paws continuously does their job, until she paused to continue her speech. “Cats nowadays are so creative when they’re thinking about names. There are also cats’ names who start with “Evening” or “Cascading” or stuff… but I love my name. I just don’t know the meaning of it, honestly.”

"Wow!!!!" So Carpkit's dad was also called Shrike?! The was so cool. "Mhhm, mhhm! Ma's super cool and smart! She chooses aaaallll the best names!" She didn't mention her 'father' - she'd rather pretend he never existed. Just pebbles pebbles pebbles, she was working on a wonderful pebble pile, not thinking about silly things like that.

"Cas- Cas-cuhh- uhhhh-" she paused trying to repeat the word Carpkit said, but it was not working. The kit shook her head, "I can't even say that one! Sounds proper cool though!" She said with a grin. "I bet Carp means something really cool. Shrike's like - a - uh - a bird thing! Like a cool hunter bird!"
