Starrypaw wasn't sure she should go out and join Berryshine. She wasn't in the mood to cope with others' comments on her or their glances at her. She knew they did not have a high opinion of her, for she was behind her training and always stayed alone instead of socializing.

She poked her head out of the apprentices' den and scanned the clearing. A few cats were gathering in front of the medicine cat, and more were probably coming. It would seem weird if she remained alone even now... wouldn't it?
She hoped Wisteriawren or Rowanmane would come. She didn't know the other apprentices well... but she kinda liked Stonepaw. Maybe.

Uhm.. What Do I do?
Okay. She would wait to see who came.


[Some time after that...]

Starrypaw slid out of her den, leaving the warm feathered nest to do some duties. It will count as training.. So I guess I should do it...
She threw an insecure glance toward the tom and walked slowly toward him, her ears flattened behind, then sat silently a few paw-steps apart. She felt in debt to the warrior since he'd comforted her in a difficult time, and now she had allowed herself to put a bit of trust in him. She hoped it wouldn't be a mistake.
