Owlthroat nodded along to Newtbelly’s comments, a smirk playing on his lips. Talonpaw had his gusto that was for sure. ”I’m sure they’ll get it eventually, but I’m surprised I forgot to tell you. She’s our daughter, we have a few children now, Talonpaw, Mimicpaw and Yarrowpaw.” He paused, licking his lips.

”You didn’t realise?” He chuckled, he’d expected Newtbelly to be a tad quicker witted than that. Mind you, Owlthroat had been rather occupied of late.

Talonpaw’s his?? What? Owlthroat’s - Tuftedtusk - Talonpaw’s Owlthroat’s kid?! He couldn’t help but let his jaw drop. He hadn’t ever expected Owlthroat to take a mate - never mind end up with a whole litter. Sure, he'd noticed the tow enforcers were close but maybe they were, he didn't know, scheming, or something? Just good friends? "You're-" the tom coughed, trying to find his words, and at least act like a reasonable adult receiving such news. For 6 months?? The guy has had kids? And he didn't even notice. "Well - um - congratulations." Was all he could string together. Thank goodness he hadn't made nay complaints about Talonpaw, otherwise he'd be getting his ears ripped off right now. Stars, he better mentor her well. "That's - that's big."
