[ me: stop being dead challenge IMPOSSIBLE ]
confusion churned to bitterness, a singularity of resentment stemmed from pain and being unheard. funny how that worked - in a tragic sense this was probably the closest he'd be to understanding her perspective. fundamentally they were incompatible - a cat damaged irreparably by the stars and the actions of others, and a being isolated from the affairs of mortals. his meddling had been a kindness, for infrequent wayward souls who crossed his path and needed help - outside of his own clan, he had never sought them himself. he just wasn't one of those cats. he didn't really have a place in their world, not when his star had crumbled to dust and left only sprinkles of memory in its wake.
when wolfhawk had come to him, an apprentice without guidance, aconiteheart wouldn't have imagine it'd come to this. he knew starclan had drama - after all they caught his clan on fire and burned his nephew alive - but he thought he kept his muzzle clean enough to not be beaten down again. the pain hurt, the thought he just made things worse hurt more.
he doesn't get the life thing, but at this point he just doesn't care. either she had lives and just wanted more or starclan was pulling strings it shouldnt. regardless, he just wanted her gone. (he wanted to cry)(but not in front of her, shed probably just punch him again)
with what little he could muster, he cleared the blood from his throat.
"then... i give you the life... of Resurgence.. to revitalize yourself, and your Clan, after this.. tragedy. your path.. will never be.. easy, but perhaps.. this can bring you.. some respite." she might hate him for it, more than she already did, but this might at least give her a solid night's rest after the nightmare she endured. for all his frustration, it caved in to offer some solace, some relief even if fleeting.
he doesn't have much left to say, no words would comfort a mother who'd loss so dearly, and he allowed the dream to fragment and crumble. if she opted to attack again, it'd be punching mist that dumped her into the waking world.
