Something was wrong.

Something was so terribly wrong.

Flutterkit had opened her eyes, and only darkness had met her. Her other senses could feel everything going on. She could hear the slightest shift from the medicine den across the camp, the whispers if the elders, speaking of ancient ways.

But no sun greeted her eyes. No face of her mother or siblings.

Her eyes were cloudy and pale, like a mirrored reflection.
