A small smile wormed itself onto her features at the familiar behavior of the tom. If anyone else had greeted her with such gusto, she'd have hissed at them to settle down, but with Hillstrider? It was oddly comforting. As long as it was due to excitement over her, she could allow such imperfect behavior from him. Though she was going to have to train some of his other unsavory actions out...

A sensation of warmth spread through her pelt when he claimed that he too missed her. What did she do with this warm fuzzy feeling? She shoved it down. She shoved it somewhere where it wouldn't impede her actions or thoughts for the moment. She could sort that out at a later time, sometime when the eyes of others weren't on her and when she didn't have this loaf of orange and fluff by her. Taking one more inhale of the tom's scent, she pulled back a little and fixed her amber eyes on his face.

"I fear I have nothing of note to tell you," Hazelstripe said with a dramatic sigh and wave of her paw. "Just kind of living at the moment, I fear that I have been unable to have my perfection on full display as of late. What about you though? Anything you wish to share?" She truthfully hadn't done anything noteworthy recently and truth be told, it was bugging her tremendously. Despite that, Hillstrider was always doing something or other and getting himself into odd situations, so a bit of poking and prodding would be able to fulfill her inquisitive mind's desire.
