A little grumble escaped her. It was hard to talk with a mouth full of tail, so she guessed she'd be alone with her thoughts for once. She wasn't upset that her blood wasn't all WindClan. Who cared about all that. Ma wasn't either. Nor was Leechscar. Plus, she'd heard that outsiders sometimes join the clan. Being a clan was like being friends, it didn't matter how you were born! What did upset her, was the fact that dad didn't want to join. If being a clan meant being friends, choosing not to join meant choosing not to be friends. What was so good about adventure with no friends? Without ma? Without her and her littermates? Maybe he was just mistaken. Maybe they could all talk him into joining. Yea. Yea! It would all be fine. She was still angry, though.

Now they were stopping. She spat Racoonkit's tail out, still huffing and puffing about the whole ordeal. Rainkit's words made her ears perk up. "Yea!" Songmama was reliable. She cared about WindClan. She was perfect. "No need for silly outsiders."
