The kitten reluctantly allows himself to be herded away from the Galewood by Leechscar. He doesn't understand why his big brother doesn't know it's his job to keep Mama warm! Peachkit isn't going to cause problems, though. He settles down next to Coyotekit, ready to pout about not being allowed to warm Mama up, but Leechscar's comment about bringing live mice to teach them to hunt promptly causes him to sit straighter. "If we do good with the mice, will you bring rabbits next time?" Peachkit wants to learn to run across the moor and chase rabbits like his dreams. He's going to be the best rabbit hunter in the Clan when he grows up!

The meeting doesn't last much longer ; Twilightstar wraps up after appointing the new apprentices with mentions of exiles from RiverClan, cautions for the borders of ThunderClan and ShadowClan, and an order to see Lightningstorm if you felt sick. Peachkit only half listens, pressing himself against Coyotekit to keep himself warm. Luckily, Mama makes her way over to them after she finishes, and he promptly leaves his brother to press against hur forelegs, purring loudly. "Had to keep you warm, Mama. It's cold, you shouldn't sit up there alone! And, it's my job." The last statement is said with utter seriousness as Peachkit pulls back slightly to gaze up at Twilightstar.
