Jaggedkit could barely stay still, whether that was from the nerves and knowing that behind him was a crowd of cats staring in his general direction that absolutely didn't make him uncomfortable at all! Or the fact this was one paw step up in the ranks, it was his and his littermates apprentice ceremony. Their day! He felt excited, happy even but something wasn't quite right. The smile that had worked its way on his face began to fall as Twighlightstar began the ceremony. Green eyes immediately moved away from the Galewood and towards the cats that flanked him. All three of his sisters were there, yeah but where was his brother? His clone? His second shadow.

The pest who was beside him every minute of the day, the nuisance he oh so hated. Because he was supposed to be standing next to Jaggedkit like he always did and yet frostkit wasn't there. He wasn't anywhere in eyesight! Though his brothers a sense did nothing to stop Twighlightstar from continuing with ceremony which was absolutely wrong! It couldn't happen like this! It wasn't supposed to happen like this. Jaggedkit looked over his shoulder back at the crowd in search for his brother, who would surely appear any moment now and jaggedkit would have to cuff him over the ears for almost missing their apprentice ceremony.

No sign of him.

Twighlightstar began announcing their new names one by one, something Jaggedkit had looked forward to. Being a paw that is, and yet he could care less about her babbling right now. That was until she got to Card. "Gnawingpaw?" he repeated, barely above a whisper as he tried to process what was said. His sister name was being changed completely?? Jaggedkit- paw? No kit. JaggedKIT turned to look at his older sister and see her reaction to this. Was she angry, upset? Cards expression revealed nothing to him, only a blank stare. Wrong. Wrong this was all wrong! None of this was meant to be happening.

Frostkit SHOULD be here getting his name alongside them and his sister DESERVED to keep her name! Their names were special and important to them. Whoever that other cardinalpaw was should have their name changed! His had began to shift entirely. He'd been happy and excited but now all he felt was anger, disappointment and he was just upset. Twighlightstar went on to announce their mentors and once again, least of his worries right now. The deputy's reaction to being Straws's mentor only annoyed him more.

Eventually Twighlightstar finished talking, followed by the cheers of their new names. Jaggedkit's gaze followed his sister as she turned and left. Making a beeline towards the nursery.

«Hi Jaggedpaw!»

His scowl deepened at the voice greeting him, it took him a second or two to identify it but even then it didn't really matter. The weird old lady, the one he had bitten. After a bit of thinking he'd stopped feeling bad about attacking her, if she had been that worked up over a kit attacking her should couldn't be all that strong or impressive and now she was his mentor. Great. Jaggedkit shot an icy glare at the she cat as she approached him. Backing away as she lowered her head for what he assumed must be the traditional nose touch that mentors and apprentices did. "It's Jaggedkit." he responded coldly. He didn't even bother responding to the rest of what she said, it didn't matter all that much to him anyway. He wouldn't be starting his training or being an apprentice until Frostkit had joined him. For all he cares he is still a kit and this whole thing was a pathetic practice at a ceremony. Looking past the old she cat at his dad he wondered why Snowybreeze wasn't doing anything. Why hadn't his dad told twighlightstar to wait for frostie or protested against card's name change? Forget this being a great day, it was the worst day.
