Event [#event]single remaining white tipped ear twitching as he scanned the slowly dwindling crowd, sigh was this not interesting enough? he was even taking questions besides handing out knowledge for bloody free. man they just didnt know what he had done to even acquire the information. sleepysunrise, one of his clanmates he would almost consider a friend now, was one of the few that had stuck around and listened carefully. or well, thats what he thought at least. and he didnt want to be corrected on this either, thank you very much.
a quiet voice towards the back of the crowd caught his attention, calling his name in a typical kit manner that had his gaze focussing on the small feline. "we've already begun but you can join. sit, be quiet unless ya have a question"
clearing his throat from this brief interaction, rookfire stretched out long white tipped paws briefly, letting the silence hang in the air until another voice pulled his attention towards the mostly dark furred cat who asked a well appreciated follow-up question rookfire was glad he had uselessly pondered over just a moment before already. well more or less at least, he had chewed it out with poppy seeds but burdock root was pretty much a mystery even to him (not like he was the most knowledgable medicine cat but still).
"if ye give a cat too much poppy they'll die, if ye give a cat too much burdock rook i assume they'll throw up n thats it. i wouldn' try it out though. 's always best ta' assume the worst when it comes ta' new herbs"
"yes, sorta like that. celandine is used ta' treat weak or injured eyes. if ye got an elder with real dry eyes it'd help, but also if they got a injury close to it" rookfire nodded in confirmation to sleepysunrises question before letting his eyes shift over the crowd one more time before his roleplayer went to dig up the other herbs planned for this.
"'ight, movin' on, these are cobwebs, ya all know em, or so i assume" the medicine cat opened, lifting the cobweb covered stick to show the cats in front of him. "we store em on sticks so they dont get dirty cuz thats more or less their main job." instead of using mossfreckle, who had said absolutely nothing since beginning this lesson, as his example cat, rookfire sorted his tail into a well visible position by his forepaws before taking the cobweb into his paws.
"if ya have a wound, ya start off with moss, get the bleedin' ta' slow, apply herbs if need be, before applyin' cobweb like this" slow, in order to make it easier to follow, rookfire secured the cobweb to the middle of his tail. "they keep the wound clean n keep herbs in place. any questions?"
