Twilightstar headed out of camp after watching the patrols gather and head out. The she-cat breathed in the crisp fresh air and peered at the sea of green ahead of her. It was still too cold for her liking, but running and hunting would get her blood flowing and warm her up.

"Lightningpaw, why don't you find us something to hunt? Barleypaw and Snappaw, how much hunting training have you had?" Twilightstar spoke to the apprentices as she turned around checking that they had followed her out. The WindClan leader was eager to get the prey restocked. It didn't matter how many seasons had passed, she still recalled the great hunger WindClan had gone through as if it were yesterday. She did not want to relive that under any circumstance.
