"you've all seen moss used in nests before n kits play with mossballs but its actually a very important aspect of first aid. cobwebs are too rare, flimsy and sticky so we use moss to press it to wounds, sort of like this-" rookfire pressed the piece of moss to mossfreckles shoulder (wow that sentence was bad, who had decided to name a medicine cat mosskit at birth. like they knew what he'd become..), one paw resting on the moss whereas the other held him in place before he let off again. "secondly, moss soaks up liquids which means ya can do a lot of things with it. for one, its a way ta' get water to cats that are sick or injured n cant move at the moment. but ya can also use it ta' catch the liquid that comes with chewin' up herbs like celandine and make using those easier. with the celandine example it'd make it easy ta' drip it into the injured eye" tail flicking back and forth in thought, he stayed quiet for a moment longer, going over the things he knew in his mind once more in order to figure out if he had missed anything. the answer to that was no, but he did feel the urge to go back and explain some of the previously mentioned things more in depth.
