Stormstar - RiverClan Leader

All she wanted to do after that gathering was sleep away the ache she felt in her chest. Stormstar had done a pretty good job of hiding it but it still gnawed away at her during the journey back from Seastones and to camp. She didn't bother looking over her shoulder to make sure the medicine cats were following her - they either would or wouldn't, and she hoped she wouldn't have to track them down after this.

Scaling the slope and heading into her den, Stormstar gave a lash of her tail and spun around to face the two. "Are you kiddin' me, Cobs??" The anger was evident in her tone as she fixed her kid sister with a glare. "'M tryin' to dig RiverClan out of the hole we've been in for longer than I care to admit, 'n the first thing you do as a high rank is have a kit-whinin' contest with that piece of crow-food??" Rookfire being ShadowClan's medicine cat apprentice had shocked her as well, and stars she had wanted to say something. At least Cobs and Berries hadn't been as bad as the ShadowClan rat, but still.

"I get it - seein' 'em after all this time must've hurt. But you're nearly grown, Cobs. You've got a job, a duty to this Clan. If you can't handle it, then maybe we need to rethink this whole situation." Her eyes flashed to Berries, wondering if her medicine cat was on the same page or not. "Emotions were high tonight, for everyone. But I can't have my medicine cats actin' like sniveling kits up on those rocks - not when 'm still workin' to fix our reputation as the kit-Clan of the forest!"
