Claws tapped upon the Meeting Rock, and Blazing Sun's ears pricked as her head swiveled around and eyes locked on Frost Fang. She offered a small nod of acknowledgement before the husky made his way up. This was good. It felt a bit odd to her to have conversation while looking down upon a Packmate.
Her ears involuntarily pinned back at the comment. "As much as I hate it, you're right." She'd known this for awhile, but it was never an easy thing to admit. "Let's just hope we can weather a good storm, eh? A little rain never hurt nobody." She offered a crooked half-smile to Frost Fang. "Just gotta hope these predators know what's good for 'em and keep outta Wildwood territory."
A pause, then a topic change. "How's that trainee of yours doing? Bleak Fang? I know he's pretty new, but I'm sure he'll learn quick." Just keep him safe, she didn't say. Honestly, the border trouble was no small source of worry for her. But she trusted her pack to not be stupid. Most of the time, anyway.

"Rain? I was expecting a whole snowstorm this year." The dark husky chuckled gruffly, before acknowledging Blazing Sun's worries. "If they do, we'll show 'em up. Drive 'em out like the usual."
He'll do whatever's needed to keep their pack safe, alive and ahead of their game for the harsh winters to come. Whether these other creatures were here to hurt them or steal a portion of their prey and land, they'll deal with it accordingly. Perhaps the sooner the better. Come winter time, no one has the time nor energy to waste on pesky fights.
"Eh, the pup? He'll learn in due time." Frost Fang nodded, thinking of the small Ausky trainee. "Snow and the cold may prove t' be a good challenge for th' future."
