Lightingpaw looks up as his name is given. He finally is an apprentice. He felt proud of himself, and he gave a large smile. so very happy to be trained as a warrior. even if he doesn't know who it is personally. excited to meet his mentor the tom rose to his paws and ran over energetically, he's not even sure what he was doing as he located them.

he approached the cool-looking cat looking up before giving a friendly smile "Uhm...hello." he spoke softly but friendly nonetheless " When do we start?" he asked sitting and trying to look bigger than he was. he wanted his mentor to know hes confident.

Oh no. Oh dear, oh no, oh no. Their heart beat fast in their chest - was it about to explode?! It would be a lie to say their confidence hadn't depleted after recent events, and, well, an apprentice?? Now?? She gulped.
The little tom approached them calmly, and they couldn't help but feel bad for dreading this moment. "Lightningpaw..." they smiled, putting on a kind tone. This would be fine, they could train him best they could, and- and nothing bad would happen. This wasn't another Owlthroat. She could tell already. "No better day than today!" Their usual happy chirp broke out. They could do this. They could fulfil their duty as a warrior - just one more apprentice. "How's a territory tour sound?"
