"Like you've seen a badger~ I suppose if I am, I could chase you down." Floodsight smirked running after Aspenpaw, who just raced pass her and across the bridge. Yeah, she was a warrior, but a young one at that. And if her apprentice wanted to race, she'll be sure to indulge him.

In a few quick strides, she'd caught up with Aspenpaw, giving him a small bump on the flank. With a flick of her tail, Floodsight directed him to one of the pools of warm water. She dipped her paws in a bit to check the temperature. It was definitely warm, not too hot. But a soothing warmth, that felt a little unusual. To her, water always been cold...till Haven Springs, that is. Now that Aspenpaw had arrived, she pawed a little bit of water on her paws and flicked a few drops at Aspenpaw. "Alright, enough touring. If Fadingstar was here, he'll think I've let you out to play. Let's get started"

"Now, hunting crouch." Floodsight spoke instructively, wondering if the little one had been practicing on his own. "As you may know, this is the basics when it comes to stalking land prey. Rabbits, squirrels, mice and all forest creatures you can name. Though each of those have their own difficulties. Rabbits run when they smell you, squirrels will hide in the trees."

"For most, you'll have to keep silent. Stalk. And then pounce by gathering energy into your hind leg and push off the ground. Have your forepaws in the direction you want to go, and your tail out for balance." she continued, as she found a rock to demonstrate on. From the hunting crouch, she moved forwardly silently like a breeze. "And once you think you're close enough...."

Floodsight jumped onto the the rock as a demo, before looking back to Aspenpaw. With a gentle smile, "Easy, right? Though this is a rock, and prey...they move."

"So walk around, try out the hunting crouch while moving, and definitely give pouncing a try." She instructed while moving backwards to give him some space. Floodsight sat down and wrapped her tail around her paws, waiting to see how Aspenpaw does.
