The brush would soon open up, revealing the dent in the earth where the ground had sunken. The sinkhole remained near the center of the old camp, full of murky water and armed with the willow tree, which had fallen diagonally into the water. "Ain't the prettiest thing to look at, but this was our camp before the current one. The ground swallowed it and that hole appeared." He nodded toward what might-as-well have been an artificial pond. "The water's new, though. Think rain's been filling it up."

“You guys lived here?” Kestrelpaw was both baffled and also fascinated. Her muzzle wrinkled at the holes riddled in the ground. Yes, Kestrelpaw was on a patrol with Wolfhive. Yes, willingly. In her defense… a new spot to see! Anyway, back to the strange looking camp. Of course, it probably looked different back then. Better, or something, because that was the way ThunderClan was. They were more awesome than all four Clans. …Three, she means.
Wolfhive’s earlier warning had translated into Kestrelpaw constantly watching her paws as she followed after his scent, but now she’d forgotten, and was looking up as she walked, blue eyes taking in the water basin that Wolfhive was gesturing towards. “Oooh, it’s like … an extra water supply or something! We can be the better RiverClan even while being the awesomest ThunderClan.” Kestrelpaw wandered over to the edge. But she wasn’t entirely stupid, she wouldn’t lean over the edge and tempt fate to push her over.
Eh, she would fall in anyway, because Kat is sleepy and this post isn’t wording. So when Kestrelpaw is done looking, the young molly pivots on her heel to head back. Except she turned too quickly, and the ground beneath her paws was both slick with leftover rainwater and crumbly with leftover sinkhole-iness, thus when one paw slipped, the fluffy apprentice barely had time to shout her panic before she’d tumbled from view, followed by a loud splash, and then sunless thrashing.
