Why did it feel like the elders' den so often went overlooked when it came to the upkeep of the dens? Perhaps it was that there were not as many elders, that warriors and apprentices generally worried more about themselves and the kits in the nursery, or perhaps cats eventually began to brush of elder's concerns as them just being cranky. But Hawkcatcher a routine to keep up with today being the elders' den. Good thing too because she had found a crack between the branches.
She had gone with another warrior to fetch a few fresh and strong-looking branches and brambles, and was in the middle of working them into the den's wall, being just in the middle of holding one in place with her shoulder and paw and weaving in another one when her grip slipped.
"Could you come and help me for a moment?" She didn't particularly think over the request she tossed over her shoulder to the nearest cat. It was far easier to interact with her clanmates when it was for work-purposes.
