Wrenpaw
~<>~
56/100
10 moons || she/her || RiverClan Apprentice || Silver Tongue
medium furred silver smoke she-cat; blue eyes

Wren walked behind the group to Sleepy Thicket, keeping quiet as the group gathered and only Adderpaw spoke up. Wren was a similar age to the other apprentice, maybe a few days younger, but she couldn't help but think her words as naive. How did she have the confidence to think she would never be of need to use whatever herbs they were taught about today on herself? That was wishful thinking and, honestly? Wren couldn't stand it.

They came to a stop, then, and Wren paused to listen. Marigold, poppy seed, cobweb, moss. Those were the four they would learn to use. But, first, obviously they would need to find them. And, to do so they'd split into pairs, and, lucky Wren! She was with Adderpaw! Oh, joy.

"You find the poppy and moss," she instructs, turning to the brown cat, gaze level and with a hint of challenge, as if daring the apprentice to push back, to say no to her orders. Wrenpaw could take a bit of push back. In fact, she welcomed it. "I'll handle the marigold and cobweb."

She didn't wait for a reply, walking off instead to locate the right flower and the cobwebs. She's been to Sleepy Thicket before with Mistyshard on an herb patrol, and they'd had to find marigold then, too, so Wren has an idea of where to look for it. Sure enough, she finds a cluster blooming together in the spot she remembers, and bends down to pluck just one of the flowers - the others could be left to continue blooming or be picked by the other apprentices, she couldn't care less what happened to them.

Cobweb was not something she'd collected here, and Wren doesn't really know where to look for some. Perhaps in the lower branches of the trees, or the brambles and dead bushes. The silver feline noses her way around the trees and the brush. Eventually, she manages to find a web that's not very big and picks up a stick to use as a tool to collect the webs. Carefully, she arranges the stick in her mouth around the marigold and wanders back to where Mistyshard site, waiting for Adderpaw to return with the poppy and moss.
