Default Re: Furies' Field

@Moonraven [Twilightstar - Batglare] | @Rani [Crowtooth] | @Mica [Hawkfur] | @taillow [Bravebird] | @Alchemist Kitsune [Dapplebreeze]

Leechscar was chewing on his tongue while padding out of camp, following the fresh scents of the other furies. So, he still hated that he was stuck in this rank, but after considering that he had told Twilightstar to count on him more, he could only blame himself. He had set himself up for this. It would have been nice if his mother had warned him about the new rank, but he couldn't blame her as she was dealing with a ton. Not that the mama's boy would ever blame his mother for anything.

Reaching the field, he found a pouting Crowtooth with a dead prairie dog. Hawkfur was teasing him about it. Leechscar felt the desire to remind the furball about his little mishaps at the mink battle where he left Leechscar with a freaking blind, ShadowClan cat, to help with running injuries cats to Lightningstorm. Seriously, who did that? If Leechscar didn't know any better he'd think Hawkfur was the blind one.

Working with Iceclaw hadn't been horrible, and fascinating to a point, but still, big fumble for the older fury. Leechscar wasn't going to let it go any time soon. But he was more astonished than annoyed or upset with Hawkfur. Hence why Leechscar refrained from throwing barbed comments at the tom. The giant gray warrior leaped up, padding past Hawkfur to reach his mother and give her ear an affection lick.

Deciding against crowding the Clan leader, Leechscar padded to where Dapplebreeze and Batglare sat together. A strange almost intrusive thought popped into his head. Were they friends? Mates? Not that it mattered, but Batglare didn't normally sit with other clanmates. Those who didn't hang around the senior probably found nothing unusual, but to Leechscar it was like discovering the mythical flying hedgehog.

Outside of Batglare's apprentices, and the very few cats he didn't mind, Batglare embodied a brooding loner. He didn't sit with anyone if it could be avoidable. That and Leechscar had never seen the two seniors together often. If the thought became too much of a burden to bear, he'd have to see about asking Batglare what was up with him and Dapplebreeze. How to ask without getting hit was the real problem.

Flanking Batglare's other side, Leechscar lay down on his side, soaking in the warmth of the stone. Despite being the youngest fury, Leechscar didn't have much in common with those considering the youngsters to the senior furies, Leechscar had an old soul and found more common ground with the seniors than the other three. Regardless, he still had mutual respect for all the furies, currently.

He recalled the story of the flightless crow with a white beak that resembled a tooth. The brave bird who fought the dawn with the fruit covered in frost... no the peach covered in frost, to return twilight to the sky. The snarling coyote, who cared for herbs and healed those under the twilight instead of hunting them. It took Leechscar a long minute to figure out that all those nonsensical stories kitten stories were connected to real cats and events in WindClan, fantasized and dumbed down to entertain the leader's kits. Eventually, he'd get the real story, but thinking about the kitten stories was funnier.

Distracting himself from staring at Batglare and Dapplebreeze, Leechscar silently amused himself with his thoughts as he waited for the last fury to arrive so they could get this meeting started.
