Hawkbite was a little impressed by the recovery time Yellowpaw had. He didn't give him much of a chance to think either as he watched the apprentice dart straight at him. He searched for any signs of a last-minute maneuver, but by the time he realized there wouldn't be one, Hawkbite felt a slam against his side. He huffed a little, although was able to withstand the hit. His eyes narrowed and Hawkbite lurched forward, his teeth aiming to clamp onto the apprenitce's shoulders.

There was a reason he earned the name -bite. The Commander owned fangs that were longer than the typical warrior, so his bite wasn't pleasant. Fortunately for Yellowpaw, Hawkbite was merciful on the apprentice. He didn't aim to pierce flesh, but just bite enough to grab a hold of him so he could attempt wrapping his legs around him. Another attempt at shoving Yellowpaw to the ground to pin him.
