Whisperingpaw flicked his tail as Leopardsong stopped the grooming. Oh.. The topic had moved onto his past mentor.
"It's alright, you have kits and queens to take care of. And it wasn't your fault." The young tom said kindly, but he thought straight after,
'It's Cowtuft's fault.'
"I'll be the best I can for her, promise." Whisperingpaw said, glancing up at the sky and picturing Berryfrost with her anxious but kind expression looking down at him. His new mentor, Batglare, scared him at first. Meeting a huge, scarred tom that is supposed to train you and be a guide is quite terrifying in Whisperingpaw's eyes.
"That's great! When the snow let's up and more prey comes out we could go! Batglare... I don't really talk to him unless for training. He yelled at me once- But! I had let my temper out during one of the meetings after Berryfrost died.." He explained quickly to make sure Leopardsong didn't make a grudge for Batglare.
