Letting the bundle of suspected tansy fall from the initial stem with a soft thud on the ground, Cherry began sawing away at another bunch - this time containing around fourteen or so of the little yellow flower heads. There was no way she was putting that nasty, stinking plant in her mouth - no matter how much buttering up Falconfeather had done. As she sliced away the stem with a single claw, her head tilted back upon hearing the rustling of the cedar branches in the near distance. Good, it sounded like Willowshade had managed her way up the tree.

"It's ok to be anxious about the possibility," Cherry reassured the other softly, "We should always be prepared for the worst... but hope for the best outcome. I worry about my apprentices Fishpaw and Dunepaw as well." Her relationship with Dunepaw had definitely flourished over the past moons, taking an almost motherly affection to the younger cat, but Fishpaw was who she was most worried about. Every time she looked to bring him out, the apprentice seemed to be caught up in something else. "Why don't we try seeing if Gingerstar or even Larkwing will allow us to do a mass training session with the apprentices? Get them prepared, at the very least, to run if they don't feel comfortable with their skills in the fight. It's one thing to defend your clan to the death if you have the skills to back it up... another if you have none." Cherry's tail flicked in thought behind her, rustling some larger loose foliage. Oh. That would do! As her claw sliced through the remaining stem, Cherryswirl turned to yank a big frond-y leaf from it's stem. She could use this to carry the smelly plant back to camp.
