Portraying a false personality really drained your energy, especially when you have to do it for ends on time, till you have those few minutes alone, to scream and cry all you want. Except for Brightpaw, those few moments were spent in her nest, sighing about everything. Whether it be the immense loneliness, that is fixable, but she didn’t have the motivation for, or the feeling of absolute disappointment for all the times she could’ve changed that had been passed over, just because it didn’t seem necessary at the time. Who knows, maybe some cat out there is observant enough to see I hate acting all oblivious and petty.

Now Bright lay in her nest yet again, annoyed at how crowded the den was, even though was the middle of the night, her uncomfortable habit of being within the proximity of so many cats was flaring up. Silently standing up and making the short, yet seemingly forever careful trip to the exit.

It felt good to burst outside into the night air, no need to curl in a ball, so you aren’t stepped on or breathed on or even bitten. Sitting, her tail curled over her paws and her dark eyes stared up at the stars.
