Larkfire seemed unnecessarily suspicious of him, which was unfair because his attentions were pure, well mostly. He didn't want anything negative from her in the end, he just wanted to beat her, and that wasn’t a crime. The boy was nothing but an apprentice, she shouldn’t be worried. He didn't consider himself that much of an ass that no one could trust him. (Because he'd totally given reasons for her too, he helped her learn how to climb and everything. ) The calico let out a snort at her response. "I'm not too worried you're pretty small."

It was an odd thought that this was him being nice, but really the only time he wasn't throwing insults around was that one talk with that warrior he had not long ago, and don't get him wrong that was only because he was sleep deprived. He didn't have a caring side to him, that would be impossible. Besides his advice then didn't seem to do much, not long after their conversation that cat went missing like so many others. It was a shame, they had potential.

The pair had fallen into a dull silence, leaving the older cat alone to his thoughts. That train quickly disappeared though, as he found himself at the place of his end goal. It was the same clearing where he had fought Poisonpaw and a few others. It had served him well enough so far, not that he needed a home court advantage to beat Larkfire or anything. It was just an easy choice. "Any rules before we start?" It may have been his idea, but she was further up rank wise, and he couldn't care less about what happened.
