With the previously caught Blackbird and mouse well-buried and hidden, Gingerfrost set out to catch his next piece of prey. With his maw slightly ajar, he smelled the scents carried by the soft breeze, ears perked for any sound. Although he heard nothing but his fellow clanmates rummaging about, the breeze carried something else: water vole. Not his assigned prey, but prey nonetheless. He padded forth, soon enough crouching once he got closer. He hadn't caught many of these in his time, though they weren't difficult to catch either -- something actually difficult to catch would be a squirrel, at least, in his mind. But back on the topic at paw: the water vole. His eyes narrowed as he spotted the little creature through the grass. And unfortunately, it turned around, meeting the tom's eyes for a split second. Then it bolted off. But Gingerfrost wouldn't have that, bounding after the water vole he made chase, eventually leaping to roughly slap his paws around the creature. Gingerfrost nearly toppled over from the sudden halt, but managed to give a killing bite all the same. Huffing, he picked the water vole up and buried it within the same area as his first two catches. Okay. That certainly wasn't very graceful -- he'd opt for less chasing next time.
