No response? Wispwatcher chuckled to themselves, gazing intently at Ferretsnap. That was fine. Many found themselves speechless in front of them, after all—it was a compliment!

Still laughing quietly, Wispwatcher got back to the task at the hand. Ah, newleaf was just great! Always so much prey to be found. They noted a bird (finch, maybe? they were never good with types) pecking at something and wasted no time in lunging for it. This creature was a little more attentive than its now-dead companion, though, and fluttered up into the air, wings flapping furiously. "Oh no, you don't!" Wispwatcher muttered, swiping out with outstretched claws. They snagged easily onto one of its wings, and it could do nothing to defend itself as the young warrior dragged it out of the air and ended its suffering.

Not 'land prey', but still food! Good enough for them.
