Brief Description:
A muscular, thick-furred, lithe, sleek, soft-furred, tall, dark reddish-ginger tabby tom with brown fur underneath and bright blue eyes. He has a cream belly, chest, and throat, a bushy tail with a darker tip, dark ginger paws, and tufted ears that are a dark ginger color. He has a small scar on his muzzle, and long pale whiskers.

Kithood:
Squirrelear was born as Squirrelkit to Rosebloom and Runningfoot of WindClan, along with his siblings, BROTHER and Gingerkit. Squirrelkit was a troublesome kit growing up, often getting into trouble by trying to leave camp to explore or picking fights with other kits in the nursery, and even with some apprentices. Of course, whenever he did, his mother and father, mostly Runningfoot, scolded him for his behavior, never letting him go scot-free just because he was their son. So, Squirrelkit was often watched over and kept in line by BROTHER and Gingerkit, whom his parents trusted to stop him from getting in trouble. His siblings often distracted him with little games, and decided to teach him to stop his meddlesome behavior, along with their parents. As he grew older, Squirrelkit eventually outgrew this mischievous behavior, instead wanting to become a warrior to prove his strength and himself to his Clan and family. He often asked Runningfoot and other warriors to teach him fighting and hunting skills, and he loved to tussle with other kits, though he learned to never get too aggressive. Even though he was a handful growing up, Squirrelkit deeply cared for his family, and would do anything to keep them safe. He secretly hated getting in trouble, as it upset his parents and also resulted in them being scolded by other warriors, but he eventually managed to control his behavior, now wanting to make them proud. He was eager to become an apprentice and train alongside BROTHER and Gingerkit, and become great warriors of WindClan with them.
Apprenticeship:
At six moons old, Squirrelkit and his siblings became apprentices, with Squirrelpaw becoming the third apprentice of Haystalk. Haystalk was known to be calm and collective and, as a result, was set as Squirrelpaw's mentor to turn him into a respectable warrior. The two often came at odds with each other, with Squirrelpaw's defiant nature clashing with Haystalk's more controlled behavior. It even became commonplace to see Haystalk drag Squirrelpaw into camp by the scruff, with the apprentice often wriggling in defiance. Yet despite their many arguments, the two got along well, and Haystalk proved to be a great teacher to the excitable Squirrelpaw, who was eager to learn and impress. He was a quick learner, taking everything with stride and doing his best to make his parents proud. Squirrelpaw enjoyed training with BROTHER and Gingerpaw, often sparring with them or going on a hunt with them. And, though he would never admit it, Squirrelpaw loved to spend time with and train with Haystalk, shaping up to become a strong warrior under him. Haystalk seemed to grow softer around the energetic apprentice as well, and even participated in hunts or spars with him. So, despite their often arguments and disagreements, and occasionally suffering scoldings, Squirrelpaw thoroughly enjoyed his apprenticeship, and holds high respect for his mentor.
Warrior:
After training under Haystalk for some moons, Squirrelpaw and his siblings passed their assessments and finally became warriors, with Squirrelpaw's new name now being Squirrelear. The dark ginger tabby warrior is still stubborn, somewhat reserved, and argumentative as he was when he was younger, but he is loyal, kind, and hardworking. Squirrelear deeply cares for WindClan, and would willingly lay down his life for his Clan. He became ecstatic when his sister, Gingerheart, had a litter, making him an uncle, and became close to the first and only niece he knew from the litter, Lightningkit, finding her cute and squishable. He'd also become friends with Snowypaw, whom he made certain to train while the tom's mentor was out. Squirrelear had been so excited to watch his new friends grow into warriors and to train and grow alongside them, and seemed like he could accomplish it… Until one day, Squirrelear went on a walk at the Swooping Cliffs and spotted a pigeon. Eager to bring it back to the nursery to feed his sister and niece, he leapt to catch it, and managed to make it… until he reached the edge of the cliff. He struggled to climb back up, dropping the pigeon onto the rocks in front of him but, despite his attempts, his claws slipped, and Squirrelear tumbled into the waters below, smacking his head among rocks as he was swept away, away from WindClan.
Loner:
Miraculously, Squirrelear survived the tumble down the cliffs and the racing river with bruises and scratches galore. Unfortunately, the river had been rushing too far, and he ended up some ways away from WindClan and into the outskirts, and that wasn't the worst of it: thanks to all the damage he sustained, especially those to his head, Squirrelear ended up with amnesia, forgetting everything about his life prior to waking up, washed up in the outskirts. He remembered nothing about his family or WindClan, or the Clans at all, and not even his name: in fact, he named himself Squirrel after seeing one run into a tree and noticing his reflection in the river resembling it. Sadly, Squirrel is somewhat close to the Clans but finds no need to return thanks to his amnesia, and yet… he feels sad and a feeling of longing when he looks in the direction of WindClan, albeit unknown to him. Now he's a loner, living and hunting for himself, though he is always open to talk to others… perhaps he can remember his past life one day, as he knows he is missing something, especially with only remembering the stuff that happened after he woke up. If only…

Quirks
*Squirrel always paces when thinking, and has often injured the pads of his paws due to it.
*He is somewhat socially awkward, making it hard for Squirrel to make close friends. Those who do manage, however, have his full loyalty, and he becomes overprotective and defensive of them.
*Squirrel often seeks approval from others but, the moment he hears a compliment or praise, he becomes flustered and tries to deny it. Insisting and continuing to praise makes him pretty flustered and embarrassed.
*Squirrel is a good listener, and can give surprisingly sound advice should someone come to him for it. Of course, that is rather rare, but it can happen.
*Squirrel is susceptible to headaches due to all the blows to his head… he probably got a concussion, honestly.
