PebbleSplash couldn't help but chuckle at his graceful sneeze. I guess even the great PikeStar couldn't escape some seasonal allergies...! Blood still poured from her wounds but only slightly. It was a good sign that the blood was clotting... After gesturing her to his side, the two would wobble to the smooth river bank. She noticed his struggles but didn't mention anything... Having the same idea as PikeStar, she too would plop herself down with a loud huff...

Her eyes lit up at the sight of the rushing river and with a purr, she lowers her head and gulps it up. PebbleSplash thought she would never get to taste the freshness of the river again so being here, caused her to tear up a bit. "This is the best water I've ever had," She mewed in between sips. It looked like she was going to drink the river dry... After a couple more licks, she sat up, looking rather refreshed...

Turning her gaze to PikeStar, she purrs. "You should probably drink some too. Those extra lives don't cancel out thirst, do they?" as she gestures him over, she lets out a small gasp and sways her tail to tell him to ignore her invitation... She froze and crouched down. She must've seen something... With a scoop of her paws, she drags out a small fish with a purr. Putting it in her jaws, she backs up over to PikeStar... "StarClan really is something... Would it be against the code to eat this?"

PIKESTAR

✧ As the pretty tortoiseshell molly lapped up the fresh ice-cold river water, the longhaired oriental tomcat lifted his right paw to silently assess the damage against his pawpads. Deep cuts were torn across the flesh, allowing dark drops of fresh scarlet blood to drip from him and onto riverbank in front of them. The Lord of the River exhaled softly through his nose. Honestly, this could've been a lot worse. He silently reassured himself, partial gaze then sliding over to Pebblesplash, who seemed to be really enjoying that water. It was relieving that she appeared to be getting her strength back. Many clan cats, including himself, seemed far too stubborn to take care of themselves. This was a nice change of pace from what he usually dealt with. Soon enough, the tricolored RiverClan she-cat would cease drinking and sit back up, looking hydrated and much healthier than beforehand. "Feeling better?" The dark tomcat asked.

Then, she'd turn to him with a purr sounding from within herself, suggesting that he should take a drink too. Have you earned a drink though? The callous voice in his head whispered in response. Pikestar pondered that for a moment, staring at the flowing river in utter silence. Well, he had saved a clanmate from a cruel prison made by a pair of abusive twolegs. The Lord of the River had been a heroic prince that had rescued the princess from her tower. That seemed like something that was worthy enough for at least a tiny sip of water, right? Yes. He told himself, and bent his head down to drink. Just a little bit as a reward for a job well done. His tongue flicked out of his mouth and dipped past the water's surface. The cold liquid felt heavenly and Pikestar couldn't keep himself from gulping down more and more and more. When was the last time he had taken a big drink of water? The RiverClan leader couldn't recall.

However, he wasn't able to drink for too long before Pebblesplash gasped and made the mighty Lord of the Waters retract their head from the water with a silent flinch of surprise. He watched carefully as the RiverClan warrior crouched low before the water's edge, becoming completely still. He made no noise, nor moved an inch, not wishing to ruin the pretty molly's concentration. Then, in a flash, she'd scoop a small fish out of the river and hold it in her jaws. The question about StarClan and the code made Pikestar want to roll his eye, but he didn't want Pebblesplash to think that it was directed at herself. "As long as we both catch something to take back to the fresh-kill pile, I don't see an issue with allowing you to eat." The dark-furred tomcat remarked with a gentle smile, "You have been through a lot, so you need this right now. If anyone has a problem with that, I'll kick their behind into next week."
