"A bet?" Larkfire scoffed, the words rolling incredulously off her tongue. They were filled with unfair scorn, as if she was an innocent soul and had never wagered anything in her life. "Unlike you, Aspenpaw, I don't gamble." She didn't know why she was making such a big deal of it, but Aspenpaw's close proximity seemed to make her throw caution out the window.

Unfortunately, her show of haughtiness only lasted so long, before the young Enforcer found herself glowering over her shoulder at her companion. "Fine." She huffed after a moment, amber hues narrowed with concentration. "I'll agree to your little game." Her gaze flickered down to his smile. "Why are you smiling?" She asked irritatingly, her own mouth dipping downwards into a befuddled frown. He was up to something, and Larkfire wouldn't let herself be caught unawares. Although, her stomach did clench with unease. She was treading shark-infested waters here.
