Beetleblaze stretched his long thin body so that it was leaning down towards the burrow, and made sure to bend his haunches so that he could help Cloverpaw in the event there were multiple rabbits. Once he was set the warrior dived into the black with both paws outstretched, furiously rocking back and forth kicking up dirt in the tunnel below. He managed to add a hiss or two for added intimidation, and it wasn't long before the sound of skittering prey reached his pointy ears. Three terrified brown bunnies with cotton tails burst from the other side of their safe haven.
Beetleblaze sprung at the final rabbit who was the largest, and had stumbled awkwardly from the hole. He managed to nip its leg and drag the stunned creature back towards him before landing his coup de grace. The warmth of the prey filled his mouth, and he longed to eat it. Rabbit was his favorite meal after all, but he restrained himself. Instead he turned his head to Cloverpaw to see if he had succeeded in capturing either of the other two escapees.
