Thoroughly ashamed, Berrypaw's gaze stayed upon the ground as Batglare made his way over. Refraining from flinching when she looked up and spotted the patrol leader's scowl, Berrypaw stood silently in place as she listened to his words. Her rounded ears flicked and slightly lowered with embarrassment when Batglare went on to point out the flaws in her attempt to mark the border. "I'm sorry." The small she-cat whispered feebly, and then internally vowed to stop cowering like a fool. She'd not get anywhere if this kept up. Batglare already looked thoroughly irritated with her actions, but he was right.
Her almond-shaped eyes widened slightly when she was told to maybe go ask Twilightstar for a new mentor. Should she? Peachfrost was... a good mentor. Or, Berrypaw was no judge of that, she'd only seen the cat from afar...
With a deep, cleansing breath and a silent prayer sent to StarClan, Berrypaw met Batglare's gaze once again. She opened her mouth once, and then shut it, repeating the action a couple of times like a fish out of water. "I, uh, n-need to learn how to mark the, um, border..?"
