Larkpaw
Post Count: 22/100

As Twilightstar thanked her and Darkpaw before moving off, Larkpaw had remained where she was with a nod of acknowledgement towards the parting leader, seeing no point in moving elsewhere. Orange hues flitted in Darkpaw's direction as he spoke to her, and she silently arched an eyebrow. Intense? Perhaps, but Larkpaw was too proud to admit being spooked. ... Not that she'd been afraid... Shaking her head, Larkpaw glanced sidelong at her companion. "I suppose you could say that." She said simply, and then turned away when he did.

Her attention locked onto the Clan leader's, especially on Dawnstar when the colossal feline mentioned Larkpaw's name. Her ears perked at the mention, and Lark tipped her head to the side in question. Huh. She hadn't known leaders announced their current standing apprentices, or at least, the new ones. Taking headcount of the deputies once Dawnstar was done speaking, Lark noticed there were only two. One of WindClan and the other of ThunderClan. The damsels mouth pulled downward into a confused frown, but she said nothing. Where was Cinderblaze? She'd only just shrugged the matter of dwindling deputies away when a voice next to her suddenly started speaking, and Larkpaw turned in the direction of her denmate. She'd honestly forgotten he'd been sitting there.

Turning back in his direction, Lark was rightfully startled by the flirting note in his voice. Again, she raised an eyebrow at the other apprentice, suspiciously trying to figure out what the tom was getting at. But truly, after speaking, Darkpaw fell silent, evidently awaiting her response. Lark waited a beat or two before letting her muscles relax. She was being foolish to think that someone in ShadowClan would try to charm her into doing their bidding as her mother had once done. The grim line that had been her mouth moments before turned into an amiable grin. Ah, so he wanted to flirt? Two could play that game.

She leaned in without skipping a beat, tone hushed as if relating a conspiratorial whisper. "You're not too bad yourself, lovely Darkpaw." Larkpaw teased smoothly in a tone laced with mirth, amusement gleaming in her fiery amber gaze. "In fact, I'm surprised you and your handsomeness don't have more cats on your tail, seeing as you were occupied by a WindClan apprentice within moments of getting here." The corners of her mouth turned upward in a semblance of a smile, and Lark sat back again with satisfaction. Squaring her shoulders, puffing out her chest, and adopting a look of mock fierceness, Lark opened her mouth once more. "Maybe I've scared them all off." The slim, grey-ish brown apprentice joked.

[ @Darkclaws - Darkpaw | Nope don't worry, that's the last response I had here ]
