Squirrelear huffed as he reached Adder Rocks, his tufted ears twitching. It was a bit brisk outside, but nothing he couldn't handle. The same couldn't be said for the snakes that gave the area it's name... Would they find any of them here? Then again, there was also other types of prey, so they had that. But just thinking about it wasn't going to help anyone. Welp, time to get started.
Not waiting for his patrolmate, Squirrelear took off, but came to a quick stop upon noticing a pigeon, and dropped into a crouch immediately. The bird was just hopping about, unaware of Squirrelear, or the other predators in the area. It was just... Existing in stupidity. Lucky. But it wouldn't be for long. The dark ginger tabby rolled his shoulders and crawled forward, thankful the bird was too busy pecking at the dirt to care for it's life. Once he was close enough, Squirrelear pounced and put his jaws on the bird's throat, and the bird gave a panicked cry before falling limp in his jaws.
Satisfied with his catch, Squirrelear looked up and around for Leechscar. Hopefully he caught something... Perhaps he should bury the pigeon and continue? The tom spotted a large white rock and selected it as a mark, and buried the pigeon near it. Now he could tell where it was. With a him, Squirrelear turned and went deeper into the rocks, looking for more prey to catch.
