~ TWISTEDKIT OF WINDCLAN ~
Twistedkit stepped outside of the nursery, her eyes widening in wonder. The sunlight hit her face and she had to squint, but when she recovered, she lifted her head and continued looking around. It was...
huge! And so different from the nursery! She looked around, crooked jaw dangling disturbingly as she forgot to tense it up in her own amazement. It was so big it had to be the whole world! It wasn't as cozy as the nursery, and it was a bit cold, but it was okay. There was soft sand beneath her paws and it was so open and the air was so fresh! Was this what Mother talked about when she said she wished she was outside? Twistedkit couldn't blame her because it was amazing. She tried to hurry along, but her mangled tail made her go off balance and she fell on her side with an oof! She scrambled to her paws and shook off the sand, her jaw moving disturbingly left and right with the motion.
It was so different, but also so cool! Twistedkit looked at the sand on the ground, which she had vaguely heard of before, and began to paw at it. It was slippery, and especially with her tail, it was difficult to stay balanced. But it was okay because she really liked the sand. She ended up sliding onto her belly as she played with it, giggling. Did Mother like playing with sand? No, she was really serious. Would she get yelled at for playing with the sand? Twistedkit stopped abruptly and rose to her paws. Her belly fur was caked in the light yellow stuff. She didn't know a lot about being inside. What if she broke some sort of rule? Twistedkit looked around. There were a lot of cats here. Maybe she could talk to them? And she'd try her best not to be naughty because she didn't want her scruff nipped, although she'd deserve it if she was naughty, right? The she-kit looked around, craning her neck so that she could see out of her good eye, trying to take in all of her surroundings.
