Re: March Gathering
❀ Lotuswhisper of Windclan (he/him) ❀ [ @Ritsuka (for Splotchpaw) ]
➢ Walking along with the rest of Windclan, the dark-furred maine coon raised his head to the clear sky above them, filled with tiny bright stars. He remembered when he was a small kitten, his mother had told him that Starclan was always watching over them. Were Silversky and Mousewhisper watching over him right now on this special night? He would like to think so. “Splotchpaw,” Lotuswhisper meowed to his young apprentice, “I expect you to be on your very best behavior tonight. This is your first gathering, making it a very special once-in-a-lifetime occasion.” The moment they entered the beach, the familiar (and haunting) stench of blood came to his senses. Huh? The hefty warrior soon caught sight of the dead body of another cat, close by being two Shadowclan warriors. How was he not surprised? Shaking his head, the dark-furred tomcat looked to Splotchpaw. “Stick close to me.” He said to the white-furred youth, his tone showing obvious concern towards the chaos that seemed to take over his gathering. The long-furred maine coon’s shoulder ached still from the adder bite that he had received several sunrises ago. There was no serious damage, but the damn thing hurt like a deep thorn in his flesh. As Lotuswhisper sat down among his clanmates, he gestured with his large bushy tail for Splotchpaw to sit beside him - though he prepared for the youth to not listen. This gathering’s aura didn’t sit well with him, but the Windclan warrior did his best to remain calm. His mate, Snowflower, would probably scold him the moment they knew Lotuswhisper was at the gathering and not in the med den resting after his unlucky injury, but he didn’t care. This was a special event and his apprentice’s first gathering. He wouldn’t miss such a moment, no matter what. Lotuswhisper could only hope that all the mindless violence had ended for the night.
