Re: RiverClan Clearing
Keeping things in order for leaf-bare preparations had been a majority of Kestrelstar's day, the RiverClan leader moving swiftly from one task to another. Stocking the prey-pile, though that one was already practically done, utilize the rivers for fishing and Cattail Pond before leaf-bare got an icy claw-grip on them and they were no longer viable to pick from. All in all, things were moving bright and calmly, and for once the gray tabby simply stood back to watch his Clan work. With many events taking place, things were much more lively than he could've hoped.
Just as he was about to seek out Splashleap to ask about patrols, having not heard much in regards to reporting, yellow eyes picked up on a familiar figure sitting near the entrance of camp. He'd been expecting her sooner or later, what with RiverClan taking in a few refugees blown over by the harsh winds. A shiver raced down from ears to tail tip as Kestrelstar recalled the patrol he had been on with the three apprentices, not even daring to fully mark their shared border with WindClan for fear of getting swept up in a wind none of them were prepared for.
"Twilightstar." Greeting the WindClan leader with a soft nod as white paws carried him over, there was a touch of warmth to his gaze. Since his first disastrous Gathering where Twilightstar had seen him, he was beginning to look much healthier, and closely resembling the warrior that had visited her camp all those moons ago behind Snakeheart and Lionstorm (though, if he recalled correctly, the golden tabby had never showed).
"I assume you're here to retrieve the members of your Clan that its namesake tossed into our territory?" A small hint of sarcasm, but Kestrelstar smiled to dismiss any ill intention that may have come across by it. He had seen Coldamber and Tidepaw around camp, and while he would've used the time they were here to perhaps have them help out around the Clan, he knew they must be frightful over the fate of their home. "They should be around here somewhere - they haven't left our camp." Turning his yellow gaze back to her, brief curiosity flourished across his expression. "I felt the winds a couple days ago. I know you've faced tougher opponents than a stubborn breeze, but is the rest of your Clan alright?"
