Fight Little Wolf

Re: Fight Little Wolf
Twilightstar had these odd bursts of anger swell up inside her as of late. It probably had something to do with stress, which she normally managed without trouble. Yet, battling threats like predators or other clans was the norm with her; twolegs were new and tricky. With her cats continuously vanishing, trapped, and stolen away, and the whole starclan problem, it left her feeling more helpless than usual, which turned into frustration. She was trying to destress by dragging her claws across the wooden walls in the back of her den. There was an earthy, woody aroma that filled her den as her claws tore into the soft tree, leaving a rugged indent in the back wall. Her tattered ear turned as she heard the paws scrabbling against the side of her tree, alerting her to the incoming presence. Twilightstar drops down and shakes out the shards of wood from her pelt as Coldpaw breaches the entrance. "I'm here, dear." She replies to the call, coming to the front of the den after shaking out her pelt. She sounded upset, but about what? Twilightstar didn't have to wait long to figure it out. Coldpaw quickly explained what brought her here. "Oh, Crowtooth excluded you. That doesn't sound like him. Did he tell you why he couldn't train you?" She asked, leaning into giving her daughter's face a lick to wipe away that pout. "I've a little time, I can teach you some basics if you'd like." The distraction would do Twilightstar some good, plus she got to spend some time with her kit, so that was always a win. @Estelle |

Re: Fight Little Wolf
The she-cat turned her head to avoid the tiny paws battering at her face and would press her cheek against the she-cat back as pressed against her. Her answer got a thought hum. That sounded a bit mean for Crowtooth. She doubt that is what he told her and more of an assumption on Coldpaw's part. The explanation settled the hackles that had began to rise. "Well, my daughter, he's not exactly wrong." Twilightstar chirped noting the hint of sarcasm in her tone. "There is a reason I give most blind cats to your older sister to train. It can be quite difficult for those with a sense to train a cat without it. I wouldn't take it too personally." The she-cat dipped her head to give her daughter's ear a reassuring lick. It seemed like Crowtooth had made an enemy out of this one. That was his problem, Twilightstar wasn't going to be advocating for the tom. Rainpaw barely tolerated or acknowledged Twilightstar's existence, the same with Dreamlight, she'd prefer not to have any more disapporving daughters on her tail. Granted, this was a two way street, it wasn't like Twilightstar had put much time into fixing her relationships with them. "What wonderful manners," She praised, knowing she had Leopardsong to thank for that. "If you want more advance lessons, I'd ask Dreamlight or maybe Leopardflight. But I'll teach you what I can." She promised, nudge Coldpaw lightly in a silent order to head out of the den. They could practice in the clearing. Once they were out of the den, and Twilightstar was assured that Coldpaw hadn't harmed herself while getting out, the lesson began. "So first thing you need to learn about battling where cats are most vulnerable. We've the ears which are extreamely sensitive and thus greatly painful when attacked. Your eyes which areextremely delicate. Claws can easily destroy vision. The face which, in addition to being extremely close to both eyes, nose, are ears, is immensely painful when clawed. Your neck which depending on its clawed or bitten can result in death. Your spine or back is very vulnerable a to the parts closest to the head can cause complete paralysis or death, while lower bites can result in a cat without use of the rear legs. I've yet to learn of a medicine cat being able to heal a cat from an injury like that." Luckily, they weren't common injuries. "Your tail, which aside from being horrible painful, a severe injury to the tail can result in the loss of it which can and will mess with your balance. And of course, belly it soft and extremely deep cuts can result in severe bleeding, damage to your insides, or potienally death." Twilightstar flickered her and looked at her eyeless daughter. "Just as those are weaknesses to your enemies they are also to you. You being blind is going to seem like a big weakness in itself and cats likely going to be aiming for your face often and underestimate you." She warns, being half blind had cats often attacking her blindside. @Estelle |
