quiet grove

not too far from clan territory, there is a small grove that belongs to an outsider name selkie.

there is a small twolegplace in the center where selkie and his housefolk live, though selkie spends much more time outside.

there is a flowerbed to the left of the wooden twolegplace, though it seems rather dead. the twoleg must have decided not to continue growing flowers.
near this, there is a pile of bones semi-submerged in the ground, mostly made up of prey bones, but there is also a cat skull.

feel free to post here if you want a selkie interaction!

Night pawed the skull. "Humph. How'd you get this skull, kittypet? Thought kittypets weren't fighters." She unsheathed her claws, ready for a surprise attack. Life had taught her that although some things were typical, it was better always to be cautious and not blindly assume a certain cat was typical.

Night: 14 moons, black pelt, dull yellow eyes. bitter and angry, sometimes cruel. female. @shoomy

Selkie spied on Night from the side of the twolegplace as she approached his collection of bones. They didn't mind visitors, or them checking out their collection. After all, most cats weren't used to seeing other intentionally hoard literal body parts. the kittypet sat in complete silence, watching the black cat explore his mini-territory.

However, the second the stranger put a paw on his prized possession- the skull of a cat, among a few other cat bones- he came into view. "Don't touch that." he hissed just loud enough to be heard. "please." He waited a few seconds before replying to the she-cat "I'm not. I found the body after a fight or something and didn't just want the cat to be eaten by birds or buried and forgotten." He hated it when others assumed he took the cat skeleton as a trophy from battle. How could you take pride in removing someone from earth, never to have a thought again?

"Dead cats aren't forgotten," she scoffed. She told him, "A cat once told me dead cats aren't at peace until they're buried." Night glanced at the two green weird-smelling hills. Mmm... smells of food! Her belly was growling and she decided to eat it at once. I wonder what sort of food is in it? She leaped nimbly onto the hills (garbage cans) and pawed at the lids for a while before opening it. Some kind of weird twoleg-smelling meat was inside. It was half-eaten and wrapped in some sort of brown soft stuff (bread, it's a hotdog!). Well, if it smells good it's gonna taste good. Night devoured it before turning back to the kittypet. "What are those? Prey-piles? Do Twolegs eat twigs?" she asked him.
