The Talkative Blackbird

Blackbird yawned, lying under a bush as he watched the world go by around him. He wasn’t hungry but he would be eventually. Guess I’m going hunting. With a low growl, he left the safety of the bush and took off toward the wooded area. Prey scents were plentiful. Mice, birds, rabbits.. Newleaf was on the way.

A scent hit his nose as he began his approach towards a vole. Ignoring it, he continued. With a flick of his tail, he leapt and… [ rolled 8 on d10 ]… he landed right on top of the vole, quickly dropping his muzzle to deal the killing bite to the back of the neck. ”Thank you, Starclan for this prey.” He mewed, smiling for the first time in forever before he ate the vole, only taking a few seconds to finish it off. The loner scent still hung around. Blackbird raised his voice to a yowl. “STOP YOUR HIDING! GET OUT HERE BEFORE I FIND YOU AND YOUR PELT LINES MY NEST!” His voice gave off obvious hints of anger and any cat could see that his claws were out, ready to slash through a cats pelt without hesitation.

Sova never felt this feeling. She was still getting over Froggy, but it felt as though her heart had been opened up again. She felt worse most days liek she didn't want to even move. But her Sova was, stalking through bushes. She had her eye on this one cat that had caught some prey.

When she heard the voice ring out, she let herself appear. "I'd like to see you try." She said blankly. It smelt weird. Probably one of those clan cats. @GoldenHoneycomb!

Blackbird quickly leapt right infront of the cat, his eyes slit with rage and his paws so close to the cats that his claws were brushing their fur. “I’d like to see you try my tail. You’ll be gone if you keep up with those threats.” He hissed, his eyes locked on hers. She seemed… upset. But he didn’t care. If she was going to threaten him, he’d keep his attitude and would attack her if she kept it up. “Now shut up and go.” He turned, making sure his tail slapped her in the face as he left, stopping after a moment. Just talk. No. He wasn’t going to talk. She was mousebrained. ”Take your threats with you out of this forest. Away from here.” His voice gave the hint of a snarl, but he kept a steady gaze on his paws, tail tip flicking every so often.

Sova rolled her eyes. "Nah I'm not leaving. Got a den around here I won't be abandoning anytime soon." Not until Frog comes back. Hm. This cat looked like one of those clan cats. Always has enough to eat. Smells weird. "Tell me, what brings you here?" She hisses. Clan cats wouldn't be too far from their territory. Oohhhh was it a trouble maker? @GoldenHoneycomb! [So late omg]
